School Construction - Soccer - Drought
How are you today? I am now in Kiganda. I arrived here early this morning morning.
Building is going on very well. Today after lunch we had a football competion between the builders and a student team from Highway Secondary School. The students won by 1 goal! It was a happy moment for all of us.
We are facing a very serious problem with the water supply. Most of the water sources where we get our water have dried up. One of the bore holes next to our school is still functioning but it takes almost 4 hour for one person to get their water because there are too many people waiting and the well cannot serve this many people.
We have decided that the students will start the end of semister exams tomorrow and then go for their holidays.
Today we had to purchase water to cook the students food and for their drinking water. The cost was 700 shs per 20 ltres ... the same quantity which we always used to buy at 300 shs.
Have a look at the Photos.
May God bless you.
John
