Thank you Church of the Redeemer, Shelbyville TN for your generous donation that has gone towards helping the St Thomas Children's Development Center in Mubende, Uganda. The money helped purchase food and school supplies for the children, clothing for the mothers and Jerry cans for the families.
St Thomas Anglican Church has a tremendous outreach program helping children and families in the remote communities surrounding Mubende. Each week, Rev Fred Kironde travels hundreds of miles on his motorcycle to minister to the families that can not come to Mubende.
The Child Development Center is located next to the church and houses children that have been abandoned. These children are taught home skills like cooking and sewing as well as Christian Education. St Thomas will identify vulnerable children and malnourshised children and supply food to help them recover.
