Our Russian Projects are run by Elena Antropyanskaya Hibbler. Desana found Elena through a mutual friend. Elena's work began in Russia in 1995. She moved to Texas for a short time and is now is based out of Russia where she has been helping the children in orphanages in her home town of Nizhny Tagil, Ziamka, and Karpinsk. Elena's dedication to the children of the orphanage system of Russia has been very inspiring to Desana.
Elena has been instrumental in expanding Desana's reach in Russia from a single project (Kind Heart Shelter) to now supporting five projects: Kind Heart Shelter, Children's Village - Zaimka, Graduates - Nizhny Tagil, Handicapped Children's Orphanage - Karpinsk, and Petrokamensk Hospital.
