An average wage for a laborer in the Kiganda community is $1 per day. Imagine feeding and housing your family on this wage. Then add in the cost of medical care, clothing, etc, etc, etc. It is virtually impossible to imagine. Lastly I ask you to consider the cost of obtaining education for your children! (Public schooling is not readily available in outlying or remote communities).
Desana has partnered with The Children's Future Foundation of Kiganda to assist in providing quality education for 700+ students of the Highway Secondary School.
Many families need your financial assistance. Because while the cost is incredibly low, it is far more money than parents are able to earn or afford. Please consider providing a scholarship for a deserving child.
